These terms cover your use of notfour, on a phone or in a browser, and of this site.

What notfour is

notfour gives you three slots a day and never a fourth, a journal page for each day, and a record of the days you closed. Pro adds photographs and voice notes on a journal page, a goal with a date, your daily three planned to it, the on-track verdict, the weekly summary, export, an account and sync.

This site, for now

notfour is not out yet. Until it is, this site is a page describing it and a form for your email address, so that we can write to you once when it opens. Joining the list buys you nothing and promises you nothing beyond that one message, and it is not an order. The privacy policy says what is kept and how to come off the list.

Nothing on this site is an offer to sell, and no date is promised for the app.

It is not advice

notfour is a tool for keeping your own days. Nothing in it is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and nothing it says is a professional opinion.

The plans, verdicts and summaries are written by a computer model. They can be wrong, and they can be unhelpful. What you do with your days is your decision and stays your responsibility.

Free, and Pro

Everything the app shows as free is free, with no account and no payment. Pro is a subscription, by the month or by the year, and is optional.

Billing and cancelling

Pro is sold and billed by Apple through the App Store, or by Google through Google Play, under their terms and at the price shown to you before you buy.

A subscription renews until it is cancelled. You cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account, not in notfour: we cannot cancel or refund a payment we never took. Refunds are the store’s to give, under the store’s rules and whatever the law gives you.

What you write is yours

Your days, your pages, your photographs and your recordings are yours. We claim no rights over them and do not sell them.

We hold them only where a thing you switched on needs it: on our server while sync is on, and, for the length of one answer, with the model provider when you ask the planner for something. The privacy policy says exactly what is sent.

Using it properly

Do not use notfour to break the law, and do not try to break, overload or get around the service or its limits. We may end an account that does, and we may refuse an address that is put on the waitlist by a script.

The app will change

We may add, change or stop features, Pro’s included, and we may stop the service altogether. Where we stop something a paid subscription was substantially for, you can cancel it in the store, and whatever the store’s rules and the law give you is unaffected.

No warranty, and what we answer for

notfour is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of faults, or that it will suit a particular purpose. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot lose: the export is there for that.

Nothing here limits liability where German law does not allow it. We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only where an obligation essential to this agreement is breached, and then only for the damage typically to be expected.

German law

German law applies, without its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may bring a case wherever that law allows.
